Over the (full) moon

Dear Friends

September 29th, 2023. Full Moon. Feast of St. Michael and All Angels.

And the birthday of Rosella (see top picture above) Elycia (Raizah’s mother) Kanita (Ka for Kathleen and An for Ana, Christopher’s birthmother) Saville

At the baby shower in August (my first) I had picked September 29th for the “Guess the Birthdate” game. I am giving my prize, a Starbuck’s card, to Aunt Emily.

While everyone else is sending pictures, I submit (above) three cartoons which are future snapshots for the new family. They are all from TODAY'S LA Times!!

Needless to say, we are over the full moon, filled with joy and thanksgiving. Another blessing in a life of blessings from our good God.

This is the prayer I read at the hospital from our church’s Book of Common Prayer:

O God, you have taught us through your blessed Son that whoever receives a little child in the name of Christ, receives Christ himself. We give you thanks for the blessing you have bestowed upon Raizah and Christoper in giving them a child. Confirm their joy by a lively sense of your presence with them and give them calm strength and patient wisdom as they seek to bring this child to love all that is true and noble, just and pure, loveable and gracious, excellent and admirable, following the example of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Thank you for your continuing prayers for this new family.

John
